Hyprfeed ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using the Hyprfeed app or website, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

01 — Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us and information generated by your use of the app.

Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google OAuth.
RSS Sources: The RSS feed URLs you add to your subscription list.
Usage Data: The date and content of AI-generated summaries associated with your account.
Theme & Preferences: Your in-app display settings (theme selection, username, avatar).

We do not collect payment information, precise location data, or any data beyond what is necessary to provide the service.

02 — How We Use Your Information

To authenticate your identity and maintain your account session.
To fetch RSS content from the sources you subscribe to.
To generate AI-powered daily summaries of your subscribed feeds using Google Gemini.
To store and display your summaries and source history within the app.
To personalize your app experience (themes, avatar, username).

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

03 — Third-Party Services

Hyprfeed uses the following third-party services to operate:

Supabase: Our backend database and authentication provider. Your account data and RSS sources are stored on Supabase infrastructure. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
Google OAuth: Used for account authentication. We receive basic profile information (name, email, photo) from Google. See Google Privacy Policy.
Google Gemini AI: RSS content from your feeds is sent to Google Gemini to generate summaries. This content is processed per Google's API usage terms. See Google AI Terms.
Vercel: Our serverless API infrastructure. API requests are routed through Vercel. See Vercel Privacy Policy.

04 — Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account remains active. Summary history may be subject to retention limits based on your subscription tier.

If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

05 — Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your account and associated data.
Export your data in a portable format.

06 — Security

We use industry-standard security measures including row-level security (RLS) on our database, HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, and secure OAuth-based authentication. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

07 — Children's Privacy

Hyprfeed is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

08 — Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
